Board Status definitions:

Board qualification status is equivalently used interchangeably with the term Board eligible.   Becoming  qualified required substantial exam process include passing a) Parts 1 & 2 of Podiatric Medicine & Surgery versions of the USMLE, b) the state medical license exams administered by the California Department of Health, and c) the Board qualification exam itself.  Annual renewal of qualification status requires up-keeping of a surgical practice, including CME (continuing medical education) of 50 unit hours every 2 years, and active on hospital staff.  Qualification status is the final step in becoming certified which usually takes up to 6 years of qualified status.  Below are Dr. Yenn's certificates:
